This year I am excited to announce that we will have our own classroom Instagram account to share out all of the great books that are being enjoyed both in and out of the classroom. Pictures will be taken by students and teachers throughout the school day and posted. Additionally, we want to celebrate all of the reading that is happening at home each night. I invite you take pictures of your child as they complete their daily 15-20 minutes of reading and post it to Seesaw. (Please make sure that the cover of the book is visible in the photo.) I will add several of these pictures each day to Instagram. My goal is that this not only allows students to see what their classmates are reading but also sparks informal book talks and creates interest in new authors and series.

Seesaw
Seesaw is a new app we're using to share what your child is learning at school. Seesaw gives your child a safe space to document their learning and learn how to use technology. Each child gets their own journal and will add work to share what they're doing at school. When your child adds items, you'll be notified. Your child's journal is safe and secure.

Remind
Our class will be using Remind to help keep you informed about classroom activities and assignments. Remind is a free service that lets me send quick messages via text, push notifications, or email to everyone involved with the class. We’ll be able to stay in touch without revealing our personal contact information. Signing up for my messages on Remind is easy.
