Welcome to Second Grade! My name is Christina Forzley and I will be your Second Grade Teacher. I am thrilled to be here at Indian Trail as I begin my tenth year of teaching.  I am so happy to have you in my class and look forward to an exciting year of learning and growing together.

       I received my undergraduate degree from Marquette University. (Go Eagles!)  During my four and a half years at Marquette, I sang in the choir, cheered for the women’s basketball team, and tutored and taught tennis to a group of amazing students.

       I am a proud Downers Grove resident.  My husband, Cockapoo Roxanne, and I have lived here for just over eight years and have loved every minute of it!  This summer we celebrated the first year in our new home in downtown Downers Grove.  We enjoy walking downtown to the movies, farmers market on Saturdays, and getting ice cream at Every Day’s A Sundae.

       Teaching is my passion.  I truly look forward to coming to school each day.  Getting the opportunity to work with your child is an honor and something I do not take lightly.  In addition to working with your child, I am delighted to work with each of you.  Working side by side with you is not only going to benefit your child, but is something I enjoy very much.  Always feel free to contact me about any questions or concerns you may have.  My door is always open and phone calls or emails are encouraged. Keeping an open line of communication throughout the year will be vital.  Second Grade is such an important year!  My hope is to not only prepare your children for third grade but to instill in them a love of learning.  I want them to be as excited for school as I am!
